25-26 Art Relfection
This year has been very helpful in the progression of my work. Art 3 has likely been one of my first art class experiences where I feel art making and learning is fully taken seriously. This opportunity has been extremely beneficial, as for the first time in a while, I have been making art outside of school, unprompted. After this year, I feel as though the area I have progressed the most is creating interesting ideas and meanings for pieces. After learning so much about art

Wild Card Project
"Object Empathy": 1. Find and object you feel bad for. 2. Fix it in your own style. 3. Show us what you've done. Upload using #theartassignment. 4. Fame and glory (Your work might be in a future episode) This plain dice thing has been hanging in my room for about 6 years. Since hanging it up, I have not touched it, and I have barely ever looked at it. By painting it, I gave it new importnace as not only a grade for my art final, but an interesting room decoration.

3D Project
Human impact on the ecosystem. How sailboats are usually seen as symbols of exploration, discovery and adventure, when all these things have done is deteriorate the environment and leave behind a permanent plastic stain in the oceans we “explored”. Everything I used has some plastic in it, from the tag, the duct tape, the acrylic paint, and the thumbtack.

"Heart" Project
I loved using colored pencils in my play pages therefore I wanted to use them for this project. I liked using the vibrant colors and I’ve been trying to draw animals with open jaws recently, so I decided on one as my subject. I found it interesting to manipulate the colors of a subject that has fixed colors in order to give it an underlying meaning.

"Head" Project
For this project, I focused on the idea of isolation and self-distancing, highlighting the importance of isolating yourself for serenity and thought.

Awareness Post: Aron Wiesenfeld
Bunker, 2016, oil on linen Wiesenfeld's pieces usually focus on a young woman experiencing or observing her surroundings. They're often eerie or dim-lit. I love how the girl is not always the center of the painting. She is often just observing the interesting scene around her, and she herself is not the focal point. While there are likely other meanings, I love the idea of decentering the human in the painting and instead having nature as the subject. As humans tend to domina

Career in the Arts: Set Designer
Set Designing is a very important part of lots of media. A set designer has to create worlds and settings based off of stories and descriptions. They also get lots of variety in their occupation, as every project can be different. They can work in all kinds of places as well, like plays, musicals, movies, television shows, and more. Furthermore, they are a more creative and less limited alternative to fields like architecture and interior design, as they include many of the s

Self Portrait using artist's mark(Wolf Huber)
Either I forgot to take process photos or they are very difficult to find 😁😁😁. Either way, here's the final product! While I do wish I created a much better likeness in my portrait, I am pretty happy with the marking I was able to create. Additionally, this is my first time using pen and ink!!
